A Word from the Sports Medicine Residency Program Director, Joseph Powers, MD

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Northside Hospital Sports Medicine Fellowship and Northside Hospital Orthopedic Institute.

Northside Hospital Sports Medicine Fellowship is an ACGME accredited graduate medical education program, and provides comprehensive sports medicine care to athletes of all ages and skill levels. Our program spans across north Georgia to serve a broad and diverse patient population.

You will work with every facet of sports medicine during your fellowship year thanks to our team and community partners, further reinforced by our didactic curriculum.

We proudly serve Georgia State University Athletics which includes Division I football, basketball and soccer sideline coverage. Additionally, we work with over 40 local high schools, affording you robust coverage experience during your fellowship year.

We are excited to train the next generation of sports medicine physicians and we value your interest in our program.
