Omar Ajhar, MD

Dr. Omar Ajhar was born and raised in Damascus, Syria, and completed six years of medical education at Hashemite University in Jordan, where he developed a strong foundation in clinical medicine and patient care. He has had exposure to gastroenterology during his clinical experience and is eager to explore a variety of subspecialties as he progresses through residency and continues to grow as a physician. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

Forat Alomoush, MD

Dr. Forat Alomoush was born in Chicago, Illinois, and raised in Jordan, where he attended Yarmouk University Faculty of Medicine. He developed a strong interest in Internal Medicine through his passion for understanding complex disease processes and experience as a medical educator delivering over 500 lectures. His commitment to patient-centered care was shaped by his role as a student representative, where he learned the importance of listening and advocacy in medicine. He chose Northside Hospital Gwinnett for its supportive learning environment and strong focus on clinical excellence in a diverse patient population, and he looks forward to pursuing a future career in cardiology. In his free time, he enjoy playing soccer, following Real Madrid, playing snooker and billiards, and exploring new cuisines.

Adam Altenbern, DO

Dr. Adam Altenbern grew up in Nashville, Tennessee, and attended medical school at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Outside of medicine, he enjoy baking sourdough, cooking, exploring coffee, reading, and gaming. His career interests include both primary care and hospital medicine, and he hopes to combine clinical practice with his MBA in healthcare administration to improve patient care and support the communities he serves. He chose Northside for training because of its welcoming residents and faculty, strong reputation, and diverse patient population, as well as the opportunity to train in a rapidly growing community.

Anjiya Aswani, MD

Dr. Anjiya Aswani was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and moved to Georgia 10 years ago. She completed her undergraduate education at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, where she majored in Biology, and went on to attend Ross University School of Medicine, completing her clinical training at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. During her rotations, she developed a strong interest in internal medicine, particularly hematology-oncology and academic research. Outside of medicine, she enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and creating content for her food blog.

She chose Northside Hospital Gwinnett’s Internal Medicine Residency Program for its supportive learning environment, diverse patient population, strong mentorship, and proximity to home and family, which she values as essential support during residency.

Abraham Damus, DO

Dr. Abraham Damus was born in New York and spent most of his life in Miami, Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida International University before completing his medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine–Georgia. He is excited to train in Internal Medicine at Northside Hospital Gwinnett, where he looks forward to further developing his clinical skills, building strong relationships with patients and interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and continuing to grow as a physician.

His professional interests include cardiology, with a particular interest in interventional cardiology. He is passionate about providing compassionate, evidence-based care and is eager to continue expanding his knowledge and clinical expertise throughout his training.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Damus enjoys working out, exploring new cuisines, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Kinnera Dhanwada, MBBS

Dr. Kinnera Dhanwada was born in the U.S. and raised in Bangalore, India. Growing up, she developed an interest in medicine through her exposure to diverse healthcare needs and curiosity about human physiology. She attended medical school in the historic city of Mysore in India, where her experiences helped her realize the value of equitable and accessible care. She is interested in critical care and infectious disease. She enjoys teaching and plans to build a career in academic medicine. She is excited to begin training at Northside and looks forward to making use of its various clinical and academic opportunities to grow as a physician. Outside of medicine, Kinnera enjoys reading detective and historical fiction, listening to music, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Biadela Feyi, MBChB

Dr. Biadela Feyi was born and raised in Ghana where she attended University of Ghana Medical School and relocated to Georgia for her Graduate medical education, continuing her pursuit and passion for medicine.

She gained experience as a research lab assistant and regulatory officer at Noguchi Memorial Institute and Ghana Food and Drugs Authority respectively, before pivoting to pursue medicine.

Her clinical interests include primary care, global health and geriatric medicine.

She chose Northside for medical training because of its great work culture, clinical reputation and close proximity to family.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Feyi enjoys reading, fitness, broadway shows and spending time with family and friends.

Jordan Rashad Howard, DO

Dr. Jordan Howard was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia where he graduated from Herschel V. Jenkins High school in 2014 and was a recipient of the Bill and Melinda Gates Millenium Scholarship. He attended college at South Carolina State University (Go Bulldogs!) in Orangeburg, South Carolina where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology with a double minor in chemistry and psychology in 2018 and was also a proud member of the Marching 101 band program for 4 years. After completing his undergraduate training, he furthered his education by pursuing master’s in public health from Mercer University-Atlanta where he graduated at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Primary to medicine he worked at a pharmacy as a certified and registered pharmacy technician for eight years. He attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine-South Georgia campus in Moultrie, Georgia for his medical school education. Jordan is elated to be a member of the Northside Hospital family he was blessed to acquire during his third-year clinical rotations. He chose to train at Northside because everyone he worked with made him feel like he belonged and he was impressed with the amicable atmosphere. He plans to remain in the Atlanta metro area upon the completion of his residency where he aspires to provide service the underserved. His current interests in medicine include dietetics, culinary medicine, lifestyle medicine and performing procedures. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife Shamica, volunteering at his church, playing his alto saxophone, playing video games, drawing portraits, watching WWE wrestling, working out, cooking and baking.

Maya Johnson, MD

Maya Johnson grew up in Southwest Atlanta, GA. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biology at Xavier University of Louisiana. In 2022, she enrolled at Howard University College of Medicine. In her spare time, she enjoys exercising and cooking. She is classically trained in piano.

Hem Prajapati, MBBS

Dr. Hem Prajapati was born and raised in Gujarat, India, where he completed medical education before coming to the United States. While training in medicine, his family moved to Georgia. He chose Northside Hospital Gwinnett for the the opportunity to be close to family and train in a program that serves a diverse community while fostering growth and excellence. He is particularly drawn to the Advocacy Pathway because it offers a unique opportunity to contribute to healthcare policy and patient-centered change beyond the bedside. His future career interests include hematology-oncology, endocrinology, or hospital medicine.

Outside of medicine, he enjoys playing music, hiking, running on trails, and spending quality time with my family.

Hafsa Yasin Rana, MBBS

Dr. Hafsa Rana grew up in Lahore, Pakistan, where her early exposure to patient care shaped her interest in medicine. She earned her medical degree from Nawaz Sharif Medical College and have since gained clinical and research experience, including work in cardiovascular research. She is pursuing a career in Internal Medicine with a strong interest in Cardiology and academic medicine. She chose Northside Hospital for its supportive learning environment, diverse patient population, strong mentorship, and commitment to clinical excellence. Outside of medicine, she enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, hiking, and staying active through sports.

Donovan Spencer, MD

Dr. Donovan Spencer was born at Northside Atlanta Hospital and grew up Dunbar, West Virginia before taking his talents to the west coast to pursue his Bachelors in Global Health at the University of Southern California. He then returned to his humble beginnings and completed his medical education in West Virginia at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine at Marshall University. At Marshall, Donovan was co-president of the Multicultural Advisory Committee, co-founder of a free diabetic retinopathy clinic, and organized many community events that focused on alleviating burdens in underserved communities. In his free time, he enjoys operating a nonprofit organization, snowboarding, exercising at the gym, movie and TV marathons, playing videogames, and trying new foods. Donovan plans on expanding on his love for serving the underserved through the Advocacy track at Northside Gwinnett.

Sahil Sutaria, MD

Dr. Sahil Sutaria was born in New Jersey and completed his undergraduate training at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Boston, Massachusetts. He earned his medical degree from Saint George’s University in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Sutaria is passionate about community service, patient advocacy, and innovative medicine. He chose Northside Hospital Gwinnett for its diverse patient population as well as the strong sense of community established by the faculty and residents. Outside of healthcare, Dr. Sutaria is an avid sports fan and enjoys participating in basketball and football as well as cooking.

Mehreen Thayani, MBBS

Dr. Mehreen Thayani was born and raised in Karachi, Pakistan, where she was inspired by her family’s longstanding practice of Unani Medicine to pursue a career dedicated to compassionate healing. She completed her medical education at Baqai Medical University and her Emergency Medicine residency at Aga Khan University Hospital. Further, she strengthened her clinical and research experience through clinical trials at Emory University.

She is passionate about Internal Medicine, with a focus on continuity of care and building meaningful patient relationships. She chose Northside Hospital Gwinnett for its supportive training environment and diverse patient population, where she aims to advance quality of care, advocate for patient-centered outcomes, and contribute to medical education and academic medicine.

Outside of medicine, she enjoys building with Legos, solving puzzles, engaging in DIY projects with her daughter, exploring new places, and lifelong learning.

Jillian Bailey Wolf, DO

Dr. Jillian Wolf was raised in Lafayette, Louisiana. She earned her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette before attending the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine-Georgia Campus in Suwanee, Georgia for medical school. Her interests in pulmonary and critical care medicine, hospital medicine, and primary care have motivated her to pursue training in internal medicine. She is thrilled to train at Northside Gwinnett and is honored to take care of such a diverse patient population. Outside of medicine, Jillian has many hobbies and interests, including playing tennis, baking, trying new restaurants, playing music and singing, traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband Michael, daughter Caroline, and tabby cat Kevin.
