Background: Born in Korea and raised in the Atlanta area, Dr. Lim started his education in mechanical engineering but transitioned to medicine. After a PGY-4 chief resident year at Atlanta Medical Center, he worked as a hospitalist then returned to AMC, eventually becoming an Associate Program Director and Vice Chair of Medicine. He joined Northside in 2017 and became an Associate Program Director in 2024. He has a variety of interests including promoting scholarly activity, improving the diagnostic process, POCUS, and bedside procedures. As a board member of the Medical Association of Atlanta, he is involved in physician advocacy and increasing resident exposure. He has been names in Georgia Trend Magazine’s Top Doctors 2020 and 2022, has won numerous teaching awards within the program and the GA ACP J. Willis Hurst Outstanding Bedside Teacher Award in 2023.
