Background: Dr. Turek is a Georgia native whose approach to care is shaped by local and global experiences. Her relationship with Northside Hospital Gwinnett began during her own days here as a medical student, where she went on to complete her residency and eventually served as a PGY-3 chief resident. A recipient of the 2026 Resident Educator Award, Dr. Turek is passionate about simulation education, mentorship, and equipping the next generation of physicians with modern clinical tools for compassionate and comprehensive care. Her clinical practice is characterized by an evidence-based, holistic approach; she frequently integrates principles from lifestyle medicine and osteopathic manipulative medicine to improve patient outcomes. Her perspective is further enriched by her work in global health and point-of-care ultrasound, skills she further honed through medical service in Honduras. She is also involved in advocacy for both patients and physicians.
