Rawa Amin, MBBS

Rawa
Dr. Rawa Amin was born and raised in the historic city of Lahore, Pakistan, Dr. Rawa Amin has always been passionate about healthcare and making a difference in people’s lives. Growing up, she was exposed to the diverse healthcare needs of her community, which sparked an interest in pursuing a career in medicine.  She was lucky enough to attend medical school in Lahore. Here she developed a strong foundation in medical knowledge and clinical skills and graduated medical school with seven honors and four distinctions.  With a deep-rooted commitment to providing exceptional patient care, she is excited to become a part of the Northside Hospital Gwinnett Internal Medical Residency team and work alongside experienced healthcare professionals. Outside of medicine, her interests include eating everything in sight and building wooden crates.

Ramez Jaber, MD

Ramez Jaber
Dr. Ramez Jaber was born and raised in Syria, Dr. Ramez Jaber ultimately attended the University of Damascus School of Medicine, which is a six-year program. After completion, he did two years of diagnostic radiology at the University of Damascus and then moved to the United States to pursue his passion for internal medicine.  Coming from an underserved community gave him the motivation to look out for people in need and to be more humane. He loves to teach and after residency training, he wants to be an academic hospitalist. In his free time he likes to go out and explore the city, and he enjoys competing at ping-pong and basketball. 

Shreya Mahadevan, MBBS

Dr. Shreya Mahadevan was born in the US, but grew up and lived most of her life in southern India.  Much of her time was in Bangalore which is the capital city of the state Karnataka and currently lives Georgia. She is interested in infectious diseases which she attributes her education from India and hopes to pursue a fellowship in the same. Shreya was excited to match at Northside due to the extensive opportunities available in her field of interest and the ability to work with the CDC. She loves animals and want to adopt a cat this year. Shreya’s hobbies include hiking, running and painting.

Fahad Marmarchi, DO

Dr. Fahad Marmarchi was born in Baghdad, Iraq, and moved to Georgia when he was 8 years old. Fahad has lived in Johns Creek area most of his life and attended Georgia State University for an undergraduate and graduate degree in chemistry. Upon completing his master’s in medicinal chemistry he enrolled in the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Fahad is a huge soccer fan, grew up playing as much as possible and his favorite team is FC Barcelona. Fahad’s hobbies include trying new places to eat, cooking, and being outdoors. After residency he plans to become a hospitalist and may pursue other interest in medicine including gastroenterology, community outreach, research and education.

Ahmad Naseri, MD

Ahmad Naseri

Dr. Ahmad Naseri was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and later moved to Minsk, Belarus, where he lived for more than 6 years before moving to Atlanta, Georgia. Following graduation from Druid Hills High School in Atlanta, he went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Business Administration from Berry College. After completing a post-baccalaureate program at VCOM, he joined a microbiology firm prior to attending St. George’s University School of Medicine. 

Internal Medicine will provide the opportunity to apply the knowledge acquired during medical school, utilize communication skills, and collaborate with patients and subspecialists to devise a comprehensive treatment plan that is tailored to patients’ needs. 

Ahmad’s family has received excellent medical care from Northside Hospital, a trusted leader in the community. He is thrilled to train at Northside Hospital, an institution that embodies a strong commitment to serving its community, and continue this tradition of excellence. 

In his free time, he enjoys gardening, investing, home remodeling, playing soccer and spending time with family. 

Reema Obideen, MD, MCR

Dr. Reema Obideen was born and raised in Syria. She studied medicine at the University of Tishreen in Lattakia, Syria. Her passion for internal medicine has led her to pursue a career in medicine in the United States, and she is thrilled to begin her medical training at Northside Hospital Gwinnett. Reema is currently doing a Master of Clinical Research at Ohio State University. In addition to her studies, Reema enjoys reading, painting, and attending Barre classes during her free time.

Ishan Panchal, DO

Ishan Panchal
Dr. Ishan Panchal grew up in India, and then moved to the US in 2008. He lived in Gainesville, FL, for a majority of his life and completed his undergraduate training at the University of Florida. He worked at a preschool during his gap year and attended Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. He is excited to be moving to Atlanta to complete his medical training. His interests include Infectious Disease, Critical Care and Lifestyle Medicine. His hobbies include collecting houseplants, listening to and playing music, and cooking.

Jin Qian, MBBS

Jin Qian
Dr. Jin Qian was born and raised in Nanjing, China, where she attended medical school at Nanjing Medical University. She subsequently pursued graduate study and earned a Ph.D. in vascular biology from the Medical College of Georgia. Continuing her academic journey, Jin underwent postdoctoral and clinical research training at Stanford University. She is thrilled to return to Georgia to continue her internal medicine residency training. Her professional interests lie in the fields of cardiovascular medicine and clinical research. In her free time, Jin enjoys a variety of hobbies, including cooking, hiking, exploring restaurants, traveling, and watching movies.

Fahmia Rahman, MD

Fahmia Rahman
Originally from Bangladesh, Dr. Fahmia Rahman moved to the United States at the age of 8 and has been a proud member of the Gwinnett community ever since. She is a graduate of Parkview High School and attended Emory University where she double-majored in biology and chemistry with a minor in cultural anthropology. She then pursued her passion for medicine, graduating from the American University of Integrative Sciences in 2023. Fahmia's clinical interests include primary care and healthcare advocacy, and she is passionate about helping her patients achieve their health goals. In her free time, she enjoys caring for rescued cats, gardening, and discovering new culinary experiences with her loved ones. Fahmia’s journey at this hospital started in middle school as a medical explorer, and she is thrilled to be a part of the team at Northside Hospital Gwinnett!

Omama Rahmany, DO

Omama Rahmany
Dr. Omama Rahmany is a Pakistani-American who was raised in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She earned her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from the University of Georgia before attending Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school. Her interest in palliative and hospice care have motivated her to pursue training in internal medicine. After residency, she plans to apply for a palliative care fellowship and hopes to practice in the Gwinnett area. She is thrilled to return to Lawrenceville and train at Northside Gwinnett, where she aims to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the healthcare needs of the community.Outside of medicine, Omama has a wide range of hobbies and interests, including photography, videography, henna tattoo art, traveling, baking, and reading.

Anuj Saluja, DO

Anuj Saluja
Dr. Anuj Saluja grew up in Framingham, Massachusetts, and then moved to Minneapolis when he was 15. He attended University of Minnesota Twin Cities for undergraduate studies and Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine for his medical education. He has a strong interest in Lifestyle Medicine and hopes to implement it throughout his medical career. In his free time, Anuj loves cooking, going on walks in the woods, and playing Magic: The Gathering, with friends.

Sidra Shakil, DO

Sidra Shakil
Dr. Sidra Shakil was born and raised in Georgia and her family has lived in Gwinnett County for most of her life. She graduated from the University of Georgia with undergraduate studies in Biology with a minor in Public Health in 2017. At UGA she was a research assistant for the Child Attention and Autism Research Evaluation Lab, and this is where she initially gained her interest in research. She was then a clinical research coordinator at the Center for Rare Neurological Diseases for a few years prior to moving to Alabama to pursue her career in medicine at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. Sidra has always considered Gwinnett County to be her home, so she is very excited to be moving back to the area and training at Northside Hospital. Her professional interests include hospital medicine, gastroenterology, and infectious diseases. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her nieces, working out, going to coffee shops and restaurants, and traveling.

Gurkirat Sidhu, MD

Gurkirat Sidhu
Dr. Gurkirat Sidhu was born in Punjab, India, and moved to Santa Clara, CA, at two years of age. From there he moved to Seattle, WA, where he would earn his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of Washington. After graduation, through UW Medicine he worked as a research assistant while working as a security guard on the weekends. He went on to attend Ross University School of Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys boxing, playing basketball, and spending time with family and close friends. Gurkirat is pursuing the path to becoming a hospitalist through the completion of his residency program.

Ashley Turek, DO

Ashley Turek
Dr. Ashley Turek was born in Atlanta, Ashley spent her childhood in Fayetteville, GA, then attended the University of Georgia, (Go Dawgs!), where she received her undergraduate degree in applied mathematics. She later studied medicine at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine’s local campus in Suwanee, GA, where she became passionate about patient advocacy and lifestyle medicine. In her free time, she enjoys entertaining her two rambunctious corgis and her low maintenance cat. Her interests outside of medicine also include exploring walking trails, building puzzles, and sampling desserts. A Georgia native, Ashley is excited to give back to her community as she continues her medical training in the area.

Reema Patel, DO

Reema Patel
Dr. Reema Patel grew up in Florida and attended the University of Florida where she received her Bachelors of Science in Biology and Masters of Science in Gerontology. She went on to attend medical school at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In her spare time, Reema enjoys baking, dancing, sewing, and watching crime/mystery dramas and documentaries. She is interested in primary care and hospital medicine.
