Benjamin Shin grew up in Houston, Texas, before heading to Pennsylvania to attend Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. After medical school, he completed his family medicine residency at TIGMER in San Antonio, Texas. Driven by a desire to combine his passion for sports with his medical interest in musculoskeletal pathologies, he chose to pursue sports medicine. He's now continuing his training with a fellowship at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, drawn by the numerous opportunities available there. In his free time, Benjamin enjoys watching sports, spending time with his two dogs, and exploring new restaurants with his recently married wife.

Matthew Young, MD

Matthew was born and raised in Redondo Beach, a small beach town in Los Angeles,  California. He completed his undergraduate studies at Morehouse College, where he  received a bachelor’s degree in biology and minored in Spanish. He then attended  medical school at Morehouse School of Medicine. He completed his family medicine  training at Emory University School of Medicine, where he developed a passion for  sports medicine through his rotations, outreach opportunities, and sports coverage.  From counseling injury prevention, nutrition counseling, managing chronic diseases, to  incorporating ultrasound technology to practice, Matthew hopes to use these skills to  become a servant to his community through primary care sports medicine. In his spare  time, Matthew enjoys playing and watching soccer (his favorite team being Tottenham  Hostpur), learning to play ukelele and guitar, learning new recipes, walks around town,  and spending quality time with his loved ones.
