Edwin was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti before moving to Lilburn, Georgia at the age of 15. He attended Berkmar High School in Lilburn, GA but graduated from Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, GA. He completed his undergraduate studies at Valdosta State University majoring in Biology (Pre-Med) and minoring in both Chemistry and French. Before medical school, he completed a Master of Public Health at Morehouse School of Medicine. He then attended Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica. He completed his Family Medicine training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL. Edwin has always been a physically active individual but found his passion for Sports Medicine following a left ACL tear during medical school. He decided to pursue a career in Sports Medicine because it is one of the only specialties that allows one to practice medicine the best way possible: injury prevention, patient education, and innovative treatment options to effectively take care of physically active patients, athletes, and non-athletes. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and boy, DJing, cooking, or working out.
Cord was born and raised in Sikeston, Missouri, a small farming town in Southeast Missouri. He attended University of Missouri for medical school before completing his pediatric residency at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. During residency he completed a sports medicine rotation and discovered he could combine his lifelong sports addiction and medicine into one. In his free time, he and his wife Lauren enjoy trying new restaurants, finding ice cream hot spots, adventuring with their dog and going to the beach or sporting events.
