Background: LaPorchae joined the Northside family as a Nurse Resident in August 2012, and transitioned as the Simulation Program Coordinator in May 2019. She assisted with the expansion of the Diane Clark Center for Patient Simulation, Education and Safety in 2021.
LaPorchae works closely with GME Faculty & Nurse Clinicians to create a safe and supervised learning environment to enhance clinical training. She developed the Simulation Champion Program that is designed as a mid-level curriculum for associates with a passion for safety and a commitment to educate learners using simulation technology. She has many years of experience as a Labor & Delivery Nurse, Simulation Specialist, and Nursing Professor. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
